I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Adviser
My career in the fitness industry started after qualifying in 2006, going on to become a Fitness Instructor at the popular Amaechi Basketball Center in Manchester, home of the Manchester Magic’s and Manchester Mystics basketball teams.
After 12 months of mentoring from my Fitness Manager I moved closer to home and became a fitness instructor at the DW (JJB) Health & Fitness Club in Leigh, followed by becoming a Personal Trainer at the Village Hotel in Warrington.
I spent 5 years based at the Village Hotel Leisure Club, mostly as a team leader and training other members of the fitness team. I was also a class instructor teaching a variety of classes including Spin, Boxercise and Circuits as well as children’s fitness classes.
In 2010 I was given the amazing opportunity to go on a 3 day course in Birmingham with Double Olympic Gold Medallist Dame Kelly Holmes and Performance Development Coach Mark Bennett. This gave me additional knowledge and Skills in areas such as goal setting, exercise prescription, form & technique and controlled movement. The course covered many areas from training to nutrition but the main emphasis was on Fat Loss, Body Shaping, Program Design and Sports Performance.
Everything I learnt on the course is now incorporated into my Personal Training sessions.
